If the answer is YES, then Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Performance at Wake Forest University David Bass and the Wake Forest Sports Performance Staff invite you to attend a five-week Speed and Strength Camp on the campus of Wake Forest. Coach Bass and his staff have over 20 years of Division 1 strength and conditioning experience with multiple sports. The staff holds certifications from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and National Athletic Training Association (NATA), amongst others. Camp Information
- The camp will be held June 26-July 27 from 10-11:30 AM Monday/Tuesday/Thursday
- 5-Week, 4-Week, 3-Week, & 2-Week options available.
- Week of July 4th training sessions will be Monday/Thursday/Friday
- Ages - 10 & up to 12th grade, at any skill level, are encouraged to sign up
- All camps are open to any entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender).
- Monday; Speed and Strength Training
- Tuesday: Agility, Plyometric, and Strength Training
- Thursday: Speed, Agility, and Strength Training
- Campers will be taught Proper coaching techniques for:
- Acceleration
- Plyometric Training
- Olympic-Style and Traditional Strength Training
- Agility Training
Program Goals
- Develop and Optimize Foundational Body Weight and Strength Training Movements.
- Squat
- Hinge
- Push
- Pull
- Lunge
- Develop and Optimize Speed Mechanics, Acceleration, Agility, Plyometric, and Quickness techniques/training
- Train Athleticism
- Train to reduce the incidence of injury.
- Increase core strength and stability.
